Hi! I am Ruth Sternberg.
I have been writing for 35 years to achieve results. I’ve been published in newspapers and magazines and written successful grant proposals.
I also have changed roles and industries when I realized that my work was just not doing it for me. I now help other people do the same thing.
One of my clients worked in the public sector. He ran his division. But he was getting tired of the slow pace at which decision makers were approving expenditures and project timelines. He was tired of watching his employees quit, because raises just weren’t happening, and the work load was getting impossible. And he knew he couldn’t change the system.
A client of mine in the film and video production industry loved her work, but she wanted to relocate. She wanted to work in a place where she could exercise her creative muscles, and not get caught in the middle between layers of approval.
Both felt lost when it came to talking about themselves. Neither had been doing a lot of networking recently, and they were not sure where to start.
I helped them first understand what they were good at, and then explain how they used those strengths to meet their employers’ goals. I encouraged exploration into roles that looked interesting.
It took a bit of time, but both landed in jobs they now love.
It’s horrible to slog through your days–to do a bunch of work that you know you’re good at, but that feels like indentured servitude. This is not what you are here for!
You are here to be your best self; to live your life in a joyful way.
That’s why I do this work.
My aim is to help you:
1. Give yourself permission to want; to dream; to imagine
2. Get up, get out there and discover possibilities.
3. Start to experience joy in your work.
